Born in Hungary in 1946, Andrew and his family immigrated to Canada in 1957. He has become one of Canada's most recognized nature artists for a style that captures both breathless images and a reverence for realism.
Releasing over 110 limited editions and involvement with many organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and BC Wildlife Federation have made Andrew a highly recognized name worldwide.
Forty years from the start of his career Andrew has come full circle. Only painting landscapes and no longer producing limited edition prints have allowed him to focus on other projects. Sharing his love for the outdoors and passing this to future generations was important to Andrew as he illustrated four children’s books: A Mountain Alphabet, When We Go Camping, Wild Babies and Cool Woods. All books have received critical acclaim and can be found in stores across Canada. The Ministry of Education in BC is sending 50,000 copies of A Mountain Alphabet as part of a reading initiative to kindergarten students throughout the province.
Exhibits have allowed Andrew to travel to Hong Kong, Switzerland, England, Austria, New Zealand, Germany, as well as throughout the US and Canada. His work can be found in numerous collections around the world.
